Clementine & Co March Things I Love…

Hello there

I hope you are well, this month my newsletter favourite finds are books!

Books are always on my wish list, they are endlessly inspiring & who doesn’t love that distinctive scent of a new book.

As a child going to the bookshop was such a treat & later throughout my career as a stylist I have been lucky enough to style a number of interiors and cook books.

They were by far my career highlights, It was such a joy working with amazing teams seeing the vision of a book come together. What a thrill to then find our book on bookshop shelves or at our local library. In fact one of my secret dreams is to one day create my very own book!

In the meantime these books are some of my real favourites. They all, in their own unique way celebrate the beauty of flowers. Be it through floral arrangements, table settings & recipes to dainty floral wallpaper prints.

All of these books are rich visual references, each time I pick them up I discover new details and insights into their beautiful worlds.

They have and continue to inspired Clementine & Co … I hope they inspire you too!

Our March ‘in bloom’ destination is appropriately a treasure trove of books - The Mertz Library Art Gallery New York Botanical Gardens.

it is one of the largest and most important botanical and horticultural research centres in the world. The library contains more than 800-thousand beautiful botanical items, including books, illustrations, and catalogs. I would love to go and explore it one day.

In bloom - floral inspiration around the world …

The Mertz Library, Art Gallery New York Botanical Gardens.

Just imagine exploring New York’s beautiful Botanical Gardens and discovering the Mertz Library a well kept literary secret . Brimming with botanical and floral historical items, the library is one of world’s most important research centres. The library contains more than 800-thousand beautiful botanical items, including books, illustrations, and catalogs. From intricate specimen drawings to quaint seed packets. I find the historical discoveries of the natural world incredibly inspiring. I have drawn on sources such as these for our latest textile designs - Wildflowers.
